Introduction

The Macro Folios share some images that focus on enlarging smaller details. Or making bigger details more obvious. I hope you enjoy them. Each Macro Folio contains twelve images.

Macro Folio 1

Once again the monochrome is a delightful way to extract some thoughts from the visual world around us. A lot of bias is removed and your mind needs to focus more on the subtle details that compose an image. We each have days when anything can happen but they mostly follow a routine. This folio shares one of my days with you from waking up through to catching a night bus home. Of course twelve images cannot do justice to any one persons day. You would need perhaps much more to catch each unique situation and experience.

Macro Folio 2

The academic aspects of health and disease is going to become a serious part of future generations as more and more knowledge about medicine reaches the layman.

Macro Folio 3

It has been sometime that I have uploaded recent images. This folio contains images spanning three themes. Should be easy to work out. Sneak. Watch out for the mug which one used to use a lot in Caithness General Hospital. Well. When you do look at this collection you may marvel wondering how certain everyday objects have been captured. One of the wonders of that box called a camera is that you can manipulate the outside visual spectrum to such a degree to produce images the human eye simply cannot see unless it is diseased and that the human mind can never conjure up unless you are dreaming.

Macro Folio 4

Just have a look. Some images were taken at home. Some were taken amongst friends in coffee shops. This is a collection of things and these things serve as the backdrop to certain parts of my life.

Marco Folio 5

I need to explain the purpose of this collection. During my long haul studying for MBBS Finals last year these things lay strewn across my desk every day for over four months. They became part of my life as things to manipulate and to pass the time when in deep thought concerning the often impending doom that studying for Finals generates. It was during my taking of these shots that I rediscovered one of my lenses that I had forgotten about and goodness me did I have a lot of fun. As you can imagine during the run up to MBBS Finals I did not get out much.

Macro Folio 6

Some monochrome images. It is always a pleasure to capture objects in monochrome as it changes the perspective.
